About

Colombo Pens are produced in a workshop by artisans who use fountain pens daily. All of our writing instruments are made by hand in the U.S.A. using a manual lathe and traditional hand tools, focusing on functional and aesthetic details. While we’ve written with fountain pens for most of our lives, we’ve been in the industry since 2018.

Our pens incorporate a wide variety of materials—Italian hard acrylic, American custom-poured resins, German ebonite, wood, leather, copper, aluminum, and brass. Filling systems available include cartridge, converter, eye dropper and piston fill. We use German-Made nibs from Peter Bock in our full-sized pens and from Schmidt in our pocket pens. Schmidt also makes our piston converters.

Following in the Italian artisan tradition, we value our interactions with customers and love crafting products that they will use for years. We also appreciate the opportunity to make custom pens based on customer preferences.

You can see and try our pens in person at many fountain pen shows throughout the year.
